The only point I disagree with you on is that people who are profiting financially in the current system should oppose the new legislature.

Most current dispensaries do not operate under strictly legal protocol, and as a result, operate with a very real fear of the sky someday falling when the DEA decides to make a massive bust, like they did last month.

The dispensaries that do follow protocol are few and far between, and struggle to make a profit. Even if club owners were forced to abide by the law unilaterally, they wouldn't be able to compete with street prices, and it would simply not be a profitable market.

There is a vast demand for a product that is currently short in legal supply, and many club owners are anxious to drop the hassle of dealing with medical paperwork and open shop to the public. What isn't tempting about an exponentially larger market without a big federal dick up your ass every couple of years?

There is oodles of money being made, and hopefully some of it will be put into supporting prop 19. That is what I'm banking on.
