WTF I just donated to him, late last week he said he needed like 600k for the final push. I feel slighted, I understand he may not have met the goal but why not just do what you can until the convention?

I wasn't sure about not being able to call the hammer either. In Thor it was because he had to basically let go of some of his pride/cockyness. Maybe they are also tying that to anger and he was so pissed at that point he needed to "chilax brah". Sort of a fail safe Odin put on the Mjolnir to keep his attitude in check. That doesn't make much sense though I know but it's the best I got assuming we are correct about how it seemed he lost his power for a second.

The problem is that you and your friend are trying to play the game in a way it was not designed to be played. There is a reason you cannot match up with your friends online. The game is single player game with random multiplay built in meant to enhance the single player experience. When done correctly it's a masterpiece. You are forcing him to summon you when normally it would be completely unnecessary.

Normally going human is a risk/reward decision. You do it when you NEED help or want to kindle or if you are looking for trouble. It's not designed to to play with your friend (even though it's still very possible).

That said, I did an entire play-through with a friend of mine. I cooped every boss with him and most of every level we could (if you are both sunbros you will see each other's sign a lot more often). We got invaded a lot and had a great time. You just aren't having the right attitude for DARK SOULS.

I went with +5 lighting reinforced club and +5 chaos battle axe and of course the pyro flame.

The best counter to back-stabs I've found is simply 2H Falcion R1 spam. If you see them circling toward you fishign for a backstab just walk backwards and spam that attack. They will keep circling and when they try to attack you, you will hit them due to lag and either damage them or it will bug out the back-stab and you will take no damage. Most times you can stun-lock someone trying to back-stab you doing this.

I'm planning on trying to vote tonight but I couldn't remember if I was registered a republican before or not. When I re-registered a couple months ago it looked like you have to wait a year to vote in primaries? Anyone know if that's true? I did get a voter card and I think the documentation with it said I could vote in the republican primary so I'm going to try.

Yep. I love this game because it's a modern version of the games I used to love as a kid. Metriod, Zelda, Mario and Megaman. Developers have seemed to move away from those gaming models simply because they can. I want more!

Yea, I was gravelording the Church and got invaded by a red. He went the wrong way and didn't find me right away, then a blue invaded. The red saw the blue before me and I watched him run up behind him and 1 shot backstab him. Then he sent me a message "fuck da police" and stayed in my game to kill about 5 or 6 more blues. He originally thought they were Moonbros I think.

Well if you are invading for the thrill of killing someone who is trying to progress then there really can be no complaints about fairness. I'm just saying, turning human and hanging in an area where you haven't killed the boss gets you a lot of 1on1 if that's what you want.

For my SL1 I use dual dark hands unless I see the person I'm invading has good gear or sunbros I swap to a +5 Chaos Battle Axe. For PvE I have a lightning reinforced club (same weight as Battle Axe). With 2x dark hands, battle Axe (or reinfoced club) and pyro flame on swap and full dark armor, you can have fast flip with Havel/DWG rings.

What do people complain about? Havels/Giants, hornet ring, dwgr, family masks, WoTG, great combustion, TWoP.. that should get you started on being hated.

Not the greatest but it's only 0.5 weight. Its the inly shield I can use on my SL1 Darkwraith and still wear full dark armor with fast flip. Also looks awesome!

Try being the host instead of invading or being summoned. It's worth the bit of humanity farming you need to do if you want fair fights.

You can repair it at any blacksmith, at a bonfire if you buy the repair box or using repair powder from the undead merchant in burg (or a spell).

I agree. Dark Souls is the best "Berserk" game there is. Berserk is badass by the way. Ruined all Anime for me the same as the Souls games have ruined all other games for me.

Why not just spend 10 humanity on the Red Eye Orb? Side question, I know you invaded the Gravelord as a Darkwraith but have you ever been infected in the painted world? Do you know what the GL curse adds there?

I guess he's high enough level for it to be ok. I like that Gravelord he's fighting at 4 minutes using fog ring and the one that makes you quiet.

Bosses health goes up when you summon. More for each one. So if your summons die you are left solo with a boss with way more health. It's very noticeable on O & S and 4Kings.

In order to see Izalith you need to have your flame to +10, so upgrade it first then head down to blighttown and you can buy all her spells.

You will have some trouble then until you get some PvP in. The darkwraiths are usually not up to snuff for the level 120 PvP stuff so if you were a vet of that you would be destroying them. They will still know how to fight and there are a handful who are quite skilled (they do routinely have to fight 3 on 1 vs twink sunbros and a host so it's not always so easy for them) so just get in some experience. You will die a lot, but Humanity and Eyes are easy to farm in the depths all while Gravelording and it's not near as active as the church so farming there can be a good place to learn as well.

The biggest advantage we have over them is them underestimating us but you have to know how to take advantage of their reckless moves to kill them. Also once they memorize your ID, it becomes more of a duel situation from then on.
