Don't have a problem with that sort of thing for either sex. Wasn't what I was responding too. Please see my edit. Just saw some things in a new r/atheism post that bothered me, commented, and now everyone I was referring to has already been downvoted into reddit oblivion. Evidently the hivemind agreed.

Answered in an earlier comment, I believe. Of course you can be intelligent and attractive... and female. The three are not mutually exclusive, although the first group of commenters seemed genuinely shocked to find this out: "Hur dur, omg, it's a smart girl, better marry her quick because there aren't many o those!" The point is practically null since the quality of people in here has gone up. Thanks!

I agree. At the time of my post, however, ALL of the comments were about how attractive she is and how they'd like to tap that. I'm glad that the quality of viewers and comments have improved enough where the point doesn't need to be made.

I'm not arguing that the popularity of the photo wouldn't be stifled by having less attractive people holding the sign. Sex sells and attraction gets your attention, but the message is what is important.

It is not cute or rare for a woman to be clever. Making comments about it in that light really only shows the need for people in power to start using the appropriate tools to lead... if you know what I'm sayin'.

EDIT: Thank you to everyone posting that they can appreciate both her hotness and perceived intelligence in a healthy manner. This statement was not directed at you. I don't agree with that at all. Relationships are full of ups and downs. Someone catches your eye on a down swing and suddenly everything you've worked for in the first relationship doesn't mean as much? I think people are more complicated than that.

Don't trust your clients to do the right thing if it is going to hurt you when they don't.

I've trusted my way out of about $6,000 in fees with one client who has plenty of cash, but a useless accountant. Now I only accept up front payment for orders (including my fees) before I purchase for them. I'm a buyer for interior design firms. There will always be pressure to do something that puts you at risk, don't.
