Agreed, cortisol is good in acute small amounts. Chronically, it is linked to chronic pain!! (deKloet and Derijk 2004).

Sleep has also been linked to memory ability. Basically as you sleep your brain practices the activities you did during the day, including new fitness regimes!!

Novotel is probably the nicest place to stay in the Barossa. Motor Lodge in Tanunda is fairly cheap and quite good. The Vineyards near Angaston is not too bad and right next door to Vintners Bar & Grill.
